Meal & Help Sign-Ups

As Ronnie's family is here right now, Ronnie has requested meals to begin the week of May 7 and prefers every-other day; that way left overs won't get backed up.

**VERY IMPORTANT**:
Roberto is lactose-intolerant so he CANNOT eat dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.); he's extremely allergic.

He likes burgers, steaks, chicken, salads (ranch or blue cheese on the side for Ronnie & Javier), fruits, grains (pasta/rice), nuts, etc.
... just no dairy - BUT you can put it on the side for Javier & Ronnie - they love it.


Drop-off time should be about 4-4:30 pm (they usually eat dinner around 4:30-5)

Dinners are great but also, a pre-made breakfast is very helpful.
Ideas for pre-made would be French toast (she only needs to put it in the toaster), fresh fruit, muffins, pancakes (she can microwave), etc.

If you can't do a home-cooked meal, you can either have dinner delivered or mail her a gift card to one of their favorite places:
  • Outback
  • Round Table
  • Mary's Pizza Shack
  • El Toritos
  • In 'n Out Burger.

Other ideas are:
  • Visa gift card
  • Safeway card (she can have groceries delivered)
  • Target card
  • WalMart
  • or any other store

To Sign Up:
There are two online schedules you can go and sign-up when it's convenient for you according to your own schedule and you can also see what others have signed up for. 

One schedule is for meals, the other is to help out at the "after the funeral" party where we will need donations of dinner & cake plates, paper tablecloths (banquet size), utensils, cups & napkins, set-up and clean-up crews, food & beverages.

You can help out with one thing or both and/or sign up multiple times... up to you.

Meals:
I scheduled her every other day thru to June 2. (I can always extend that if need be, just let me know.)
There are two available sign-ups for each date: one for breakfast and one for dinner.

If you decide to pre-make a breakfast, please try to deliver the night before, as  Ronnie's mornings are very hectic. If you need to drop it off in the morning, then give her a call to arrange a time.

**Very important:
On the Meal sign-up sheet (http://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/qkslv) here's what I need:
  • First AND LAST name (many of you have the same first name)
  • Include your phone number right next to your name (same box) in case someone needs to contact you*
  • Breakfast=B, or
  • Dinner = D.
  • Put in what you'll be bringing so they don't get back-to-back meals of the same thing (there's an "Add Comments" option you'll need to click on when you enter your name)
  • If you're having food delivered, please indicate that as well plus what will be delivered
    (i.e., pizza, Chinese, etc., so they don't have pizza delivered every-other night for weeks on end. ;) 

For the Celebration of Life Help sign-up (http://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/cgtbp),
I need all in the same box:
  • First name
  • LAST name
  • Your phone number*
*If something comes up suddenly, please try to switch with someone if possible,
and if there's no one to switch with, let me know immediately so either Anna, Marci, or I can cover you.


And if you can't help at any of the available slots, please don't worry
... one of the other above suggestions will still really help Ronnie out.

Directions for the Meal sign up sheet :
  1. Click in the open white box on "Join" link
  2. A box will come up for your name, with another below it for email address and below that, a plus sign for "Leave Comments"
  3. Enter your first & last name AND your phone number in this first box
  4. Type your e-mail address in the e-mail box
  5.  Click on the "+" to leave comments in open comment box;
    put "D - (plus whatever you're making)"  or "D- pizza delivery"  from Mary's (or wherever)
  6.  Click "Join"
  7. You're done! (it saves automatically - just close window)

Directions for the Celebration of Life help sheet
  1. Follow steps 1-4 (above)
  2. Then go to step 7 (above).

**Warning - After filling out everything, once you click "Join" to exit, you cannot change anything.
If you make a mistake, you'll have to e-mail Heidi, so she can delete your entry. Please double-check everything before clicking "Join." 


Some of you have asked about running errands for Ronnie...
I think it's a great idea, but that is something you'll have to contact Ronnie about directly.

  1. ELI's address is 311 Professional Center Drive. Please feel free to drop off donations here, if it is more convenient, and we will put them out for the after party. We are open 8:30 to 4:30 but can extend those hours as needed. Just call me!
